A once in a lifetime shot.  A sunflower growing out  of the dirt, where asphalt relents on the side of 15-501 North in Chapel Hill, NC.  I have never seen such a sprightly specimen of flower, growing so vibrantly in such an unforgiving environment.  Imagine how special I must have felt; my house was just to the left of this shot.
